An innovative website called The Living Room Candidate: Presidential Campaign Commercials 1952-2004 allows you to view more than 250 television commercials from every election year beginning in 1952, when the first campaign ads aired.

If you have ever wondered what all the hubbub was with ”The Daisy Ad” or the “Willie Horton ad”, look no further.

This site allows you to watch nearly four hours of television commercials and includes a searchable database. The site features commentary, historical background, election results, and navigation organized by both year and theme.

The site also features a sidebar section, “The Desktop Candidate,” about the growing role of the Internet in presidential campaigns, which might now be more relevant than ever.
