June 8, 2007By Dave ReidyLocal firm Firebelly Design will host Firebelly Art Market, a DIY craft event, in their space at 2701 W. Thomas this Saturday from 11 to 5. Clothiers Good Night TV, for whom long-time closerlook freelancer Charlie Smith is a designer, will be among the exhibitors. He’ll be joined by local DIY superstar Art School Girl, who turns discarded books and paper into fantastically original cards, note sets, and journals.
Firebelly Art Market is whetting my appetite for one of Chicago’s largest DIY exhibitions, Renegade Craft. The folks behind Renegade recently announced that this year’s fair will be part of the Do Division street festival on September 15th and 16th.
