I took my first venture out into the holiday shopping world this weekend. It was also my first holiday shopping trip where I ventured out without a car. This means, I carried my bags everywhere. On ice. I won’t lie. My body is a little sore today.
Regardless, I did make it over to the Renegade Craft Fair last night held in the Pulaski Park Auditorium. I was greeted at the door with sweets from Tipsy Cake (where I grabbed a tasty scone on my way out) and found everything else I expected in the vendor rooms: piles of buttons, hand-sewn totes, letterpressed goods, the many quirky uses of yarn, and screenprinted posters and t-shirts.
I did take home a couple gifts from here but found it to be an awful lot of perusing tables when you’re tired and bag-heavy. I would fully recommend hitting up something like this when it’s early and you’re still fresh and light on the baggage.
