June 10, 2007By Jon VarnerIf you like the idea of Gizmodo but find all that stuff too new-fangled, Weta Workshop has the thing for you. They’ve just launched a line of steampunk rayguns.
Weta is best known for their amazing work on the Lord of the Rings movies. Here they’ve mashed together several early sci-fi styles, from Jules Verne brass tubing to Buck Rogers fins. $700 is a bit outside my current raygun budget, but if I had the dough I’d take one of these over some generic Halo rifle any day.
