  1. I give a flying olive

    November 30, 2007

A few years ago I was searching for pictures of green olives online and…that sounds a little odd, huh? I should back up.

A few years ago I was posting a garage sale ad on craigslist and needed a picture of an olive…okay lets back up a little more.

A little more than a few years ago, when I moved to Chicago, my family and friends took it upon themselves to donate their old household items to my new household. One of the items I received was a wooden spoon with a huge wooden green olive poised at the top. It was hideous. I decided to make this item the main selling point of my upcoming garage sale.

    So let’s restart.

A few years ago I was searching for pictures of green olives online and came across this image. First I thought, ‘PERFECT!’ Then, ‘Who is the person behind this ridiculous flying vegetable?’ It’s comic artist Natalie Dee. Since 2002, Natalie has posted one new, one-panel comic per day. She’s come a long way since this primitive flying olive. She now sells t-shirts and around Valentine’s Day, you can buy those little packs of cards to give to your friends.

Search through her archives, but keep in mind some of her quips may be NSFW.
