  1. Making travel itineraries easy

    November 19, 2007

For those of you that travel a bit, and need a way to organize your travel info, or make it easily accessible to others, a relatively new service may be just the answer you never thought you were looking for.

TripIt (www.TripIt.com) aggregates all of your travel information into one itinerary, and does it automatically simply by forwarding the confirmation emails you receive from the airline, car rental, hotel etc to a single emal address: plans@tripit.com.

That’s it. Nothing more. Pretty cool, eh?

The geniuses at TripIt analyzed the standard email confirmation formats of most (but not all unfortunately) travel websites, figured a way to parse all the key relevant info, combine it by date and roll it into a single itinerary. They even throw in a weather forecast to boot.

You can add others to your profile so that they can access your information, publish your TripIt calendar to Outlook using Internet Calendars, access your itineraries via WAP, or with auto respond email, and many more features.

    Check it out. It’s groovy.
