Puzzle Solving

Are you the type that blows through the daily Sudoku in 20 minutes? Do you get a thrill from finding anagrams or noticing palindromes? Does your mastery of random knowledge confound your friends? Are you up for the next challenge?

Every year MIT organizes a puzzle hunt for for just these types of people. Teams are organized, problems are presented, and eventually someone finds the “coin” hidden somewhere on campus. The reward? Your team gets to create the next year’s puzzle hunt. These puzzles aren’t for the faint of heart though, and includes a wide range of puzzles like crosswords, cryptic crosswords, logic puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, anagrams, connect-the-dots, ciphers, riddles, paint by numbers, sudokus, and word searches. Sometimes a puzzle doesn’t even have instructions, and instead contestants must first decipher what it is they are solving.
