Every since the first season of Project Runway, I’ve been paying more attention to the world of fashion. I find it both frustratingly difficult to make sense of, and really intriguing at the same time. It just seems like such a crazy world that is hardly connected to the world in which most of us live. Junya Watanabe’s winter collection is a good example of that break between a designer’s vision and what a “normal” human would walk down the street wearing. I understand that to push things forward, you have to go in directions that are far fetched and experimental, but this collection was labeled as “Ready-to-wear”. Ready to wear where?
