Combining several closerlook fetishes — posters, maps, and art — Chicago-based graphic artist Ryan Maconochie’s unique visual takes on cities, pub crawls, snack bars, countries and the North Pole’s government are worth a look. I’d say Maconochie’s work is quirky, irreverant, and often obscure. Maconochie’s work is for sale on his official Star RM site and on imagekind — which is a cool site in its own right and worth at least 10 minutes of web wandering.
