Andrew Womack of The Morning News offers his list of the Top Ten Albums of 1980. What made me take note of this list was the presence of The Teardrop Explodes. These Liverpudlians are known for the reasons Andrew mentions, but I know them best for their influence on and involvement with Britpop icons Blur, one of my long-time favorites. I saw Blur, sans Graham Coxon, at the Congress Theater in 2003 with fellow closerlook bloggers Mike Tapson and Ryan Mason. The opening act that night was Moving Units. We didn’t think much of them that night. Tapson is a big fan now.
