Larry Smith and Rachel Fershleiser published a book named Not Quite What I Was Planning: Six-Word Memoirs by Writers Famous and Obscure.
Apparently, the authors were inspired by Ernest Hemingway who was challenged to write a novel in only six words and came up with “For sale: baby shoes, never worn.” The authors posed the same challenge online, but asked for true-life stories — in just six well-chosen words. They have now compiled several hundred of these mini bios into what I think would make a great coffee table book.
I love the idea and spent a little bit of time thinking about what mine would be. I came up with a couple different ones but ultimately went with the cop out: “Too early to write my biography”.
What’s yours?

Please don’t have fun without me.
Liz, that seems like more of a plea than your memoir. Like “Please Hammer, don’t hurt ‘em”.

Don’t have fun with out me, a-hole.
That’s more of a threat, which really makes you want to hang out with me, right?
